Tri Beta National Membership
While you do not need to be a national member of this organization to participate with our chapter, we highly recommend joining to gain access to scholarships and recognition!
Freshman and Sophomores are welcome to join as Associate Members until they are eligible for promotion to regular membership. An Associate membership requires an interest in the field of biology and a payment of $40 national dues (once the requirements for a regular membership have been met an additional payment of $10 is required for promotion to regular membership)
Regular Membership requires a major in Biological Sciences, Ecology and Evolution, Molecular Biology, or Microbiology, completion of at least one upper division Biology course, a 3.0 GPA in Biology, and a payment of $50 national dues.
National dues are only paid once, while chapter dues are paid once per year.
By becoming either an Associate Member or a Regular Member, the student is eligible to participate in our yearly Tri Beta Induction ceremony and receive the graduation cords for the Honors Society.
